A study on over 29 million people vaccinated with first doses of either the Oxford-AstraZeneca or Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines shows infection with COVID-19 carries substantially higher risks of thrombocytopenia and thromboembolic events than vaccination, and for a longer period of time.
