I think that most GPS would concur with this advice. If we concentrate solely on the pain we’re destined to failure as one drug after another fails to control the problem.

It all comes back to taking a holistic approach and listening to the patient. And reaching an understanding with the patient that control may have to be accepted rather than cure.
