NICE has recommended durvalumab for the maintenance treatment of unresectable non-small-cell lung cancer after platinum-based chemoradiation in final draft guidance, which reviewed the additional evidence collected as part of the Cancer Drugs Fund managed access agreement for the treatment.
NICE suggests the draft recommendations are unlikely to substantially change practice because the diagnostic pathway remains the same, although some of the symptoms and signs suggesting a UTI have changed.
Long-term evidence on the effectiveness of zanubrutinib is not yet available, and the cost-effectiveness estimate is higher than what is normally considered cost-effective, says NICE.
It is uncertain how much ibrutinib improves how long people live before their condition worsens and how long they live for compared with chemoimmunotherapy.
