1.1 Registration and Provision of Service
We will provide you with a password, which will allow you to access the Website. The Website is provided free of charge on an "as is" basis.
1.2 Unsolicited Communication
We will not transmit to you any unsolicited communication whether by electronic mail or any other means unless you have agreed to receiving such communication by leaving ticked the OnMedica emails box on the registration form. You may also opt-out of receiving email communications from OnMedica Group at any later time.
1.3 Site Security
At OnMedica Group we are extremely aware of the importance of privacy and security throughout our Website and are committed to protecting our users. We undertake to adhere to British Medical Association (BMA) and Association for the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) guidelines on Internet security and any future recommendations will be incorporated where applicable. The site is hosted on our own servers. No unauthorised person has access to the machines or the software.
1.4 Third Party Communication
Your password, username and/or email address will not be given or sold to any third parties for use in direct mail or any other activities, other than to selected third parties providing specialist administrative services to OnMedica Group, acting as agents on our behalf and with no rights to use your email address for any purpose whatsoever except on our behalf as allowed under these Terms and Conditions. Other user details may only be made available to third parties for certain specified purposes, in accordance with our Data Protection Act 1998 registration and you will always be given the opportunity to prevent OnMedica from sharing any personally identifiable data about your use of the Website with third parties, except in the case of adverse drug reacton reports posted on the site (see Section 1.7).
1.5 Privacy of Your Personal Data
OnMedica Group Ltd is the data controller of your personal details for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998. We may collect the following types of information about you:
information you provide at registration or by subsequently changing your registered detailed
records of correspondence you have with us by letter, email or telephone, surveys that you may complete through the Website or in response to email communications from us
details of your visits to the site and resources that you access, including information you may wish to have stored to personalise your use of the site (such as links or topics of interest)
records of your comments made on site content and discussion forum postings.

OnMedica Group will use only 'first-party' cookies, which are not transmitted to any third party, to facilitate your use of this Website. Cookies are used to keep track of your participation in the OnMedica Points and OnMedica Gold reward schemes, and to remember your username for login (both optional). Cookies are also used to maintain your session and allow us to record your activities (such as progress through an educational course) and to keep track of your preferences. These session cookies are not stored on your computer after the browser session is completed. If you disable or restrict cookies, you may not be able to use our Website.
We may collect information about your computer, including where available, such as IP address, operating system and web browser used.
1.7 Adverse Drug Reports
OnMedica Group may be obliged under the provisions of the Medicines Acts and the ABPI Code of Practice to inform pharmaceutical companies of reports of adverse reactions to any of the companies products that a medically qualified person(s) may post on this site. OnMedica will be obliged, under these provisions, to identify the reporter to the pharmaceutical product licence holder so that the licence holder may make further enquiries by telephone or in writing concerning such reports. However, identifying detail will not include your email address. The information given will be exactly as it is reported.
